Week 13: Developing Reinventing Kit + Development Process

With my app coming together, I realise that I there is an opportunity for my project to be more interactive and unique. I had an idea to incorporate a physical aspect to the project my integrating a "Reinventing Kit".

Essentially, the kit is a starter kit for users to start reinventing their leftover meals.

I started developing this idea and brought my planning during my tutorial with Lizzie. Lizzie was concern about the amount of work, but was liked the idea. So she suggested to keep the plans and development I made so far, but focus on the app and project first before continuing with this.

Progress So Far (for the reinventing kit)

At the time of this tutorial, the progress I did for the reinventing kit was mostly surface level, interface. However, I quickly realise that this is feature is not too difficult to develop because I could reuse a lot of the functions and interace components that I've build for other features in the app. Hence, even though it was suggested that I do not proceed yet, this feature was quite fast and efficient to develop in a short amount of time.

As mentioned, this feature was quite simple to develop as it leverage functionalities and ui component that i've built. Specifically this feature utilise the "filter" function to filter through recipes and use the "recipes" card to display the recipes. Below is the video demo:

Other things I did this week

besides developing the reinventing kit, I also spent time refining the other functionalities and fixing my report.
